phyCORE®-RK3288 Arm Cortex-A17 System on Module

This SOM supports a Rockchip ARM® CortexTM-A17 processor. It offers a Quad-Core CPU as well as a Mali-T764 GPU. The embedded 3D GPU provides compatibility with OpenGL ES1.1 / 2.0 / 3.0 and OpenCL 1.1. A dedicated 2D hardware engine with MMU maximizes the display performance and ensures smooth operation.

Rockchip RK3288 easily plays back Full HD videos. It provides H.265 decoders with 2160p @ 60fps, H.264 decoder with 2160 @ 24fps, H.264 / MVC / VP8 encoders with 1080p @ 30fps as well as a high-quality JPEG encoder / decoder.

phyCORE-RK3288 is well suited for mobile applications as well as multitasking, provided that enough free RAM is available.

Rockchip guarantees a long-term availability of the processor until at least 2024.

The phyCORE-AM65x SOM is ideal for industrial communication systems, factory automation, edge computing, grid infrastructure and applications where high reliability is needed. Utilize the quad Arm Cortex-A53 cores to run your application, the 6 Industrial PRU interfaces for time sensitive communication protocols and the isolated dual Cortex-R5F cores for functional safety support.
