Electronics Technician Engineer

We are looking for an experienced electronics technician engineer to work with our expert design team in Coventry on a wide range of microprocessor-based projects. Hitex provides innovative bespoke electronics to the UK automotive and automation industries, with a specialism in cutting-edge development and prototyping platforms.

The role ranges from new systems testing, soldering/rework, wiring harness assembly, liaising with PCB manufacturers to helping us maintain our CAD libraries.  Depending on the candidate, original PCB design work using Altium Designer is also possible.  Due to the fast-moving nature of the projects we get involved in, a willingness to take on problems and solve them independently is essential however extensive on-the-job training is available to grow skills.  There are also long term career advancement possibilities for the enthusiastic and capable candidate into design and project management.

Cortex Specialist Applications Engineer

We are looking for a specialist applications engineer to work as part of a small team dedicated to ARM-based microcontrollers.  As ARM devices are at the forefront of microprocessor technology, you will rapidly learn new technologies in diverse fields such as automotive safety and IoT.  As an established supplier of training in the field, you will quickly acquire in-depth knowledge of the Cortex architecture, its operating systems and safety and security middleware.   This will equip you to work on bespoke customer projects and support our huge UK ARM user base.

You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with our marketing department and participate in trade shows and silicon partner events.   In the long term, advancement to ARM Product Manager is possible for the right candidate, heading all the ARM-related activities within Hitex.

The role is primarily focussed on engineering but there is some technical sales-related customer contact for which a commission is payable.
