An introduction to TESSY and unit testing
Unit testing is a huge but vital process when you are working towards certification in one of the many safety-critical standards available today.
TESSY performs automated dynamic module/unit and integration testing of embedded software and determines the code coverage along the way. This kind of test is required for certifications according to standards such as DO-178B, IEC 61508 or ISO 26262.
This 1-day seminar will introduce the basics of software testing to the while focussing on unit, module and integration testing.
Delegates will learn how these tests can be conducted with TESSY, the basic functionality of TESSY and it will be demonstrated how it can help you achieve the required certification with tested, reliable and bug-free software for your application.
What will be covered?
The agenda will cover:
- Software testing terms & jargon
- Code coverage
- TESSY & unit testing introduction
- Unit testing with TESSY
- Temporal component (integration) testing
- Traceability of requirements to test cases
- Official close / coffee break
For the die-hards...
- Unit testing with TESSY, selected topics and Q&A session
We have given the option of 2 end times (4.00pm and 5.00pm) to allow a prompt exit for those travelling to us from further afield, and also to allow the final session to be guided in it's content by our delegates.
The target audience is anyone involved with developing or using safety critical systems, devices, hardware or software.
Some knowledge of C/C++. Prior knowledge of testing or the test tool TESSY is not required. Delegates do not need a computer.
You will be sent a short questionnaire upon completion of your booking to enable us to tailor the agenda as closely to our audience's exact requirements as possible in advance of the seminar itself. Please return this to us as promptly as possible once it has been received.
