The MBox-R is a very compact Embedded PC based on Intel® Atom™ processor series E3800 (Bay Trail-I) for embedded applications. The highly reliable hardware in combination with the rugged chassis design enables the application to perform unhindered under harsh environmental conditions. The MBox-R can be individually configured depending on individual requirements. Functionality and interfaces can be easily added by internal Mini PCIe add-in cards.

Typical uses include embedded server and gateway applications, entry level PC systems for automation, visualization and monitoring and all applications that place high demands on quality, durability and long-term availability.

The MBox-R name designates the Robust chassis covered in this datasheet. Other chassis variants are also available.

This highly reliable hardware in combination with the rugged housing design enables the usage in industrial and harsh environmental conditions. The COMBox-V focuses to meet individual configurations depending on customers demand. Functionality and interfaces can easily be added by internal add-in cards (e.g. Mini PCIe cards or M.2 modules). Typical applications are embedded server and gateway applications, visualization and monitoring, and all applications, which place high demands on quality, durability and long-term availability.

The ultra compact integration of the hardware and the chassis enable applications within a very small footprint. The chassis design is very flexible so that the MBox can be used as desktop device or be integrated in cabinets with DIN rail mounting. ODM branding (color, logo, labels,…) is possible. The MBox-V is focused to realize individual configurations depending on customers demand. Functionality and interfaces can be added easily by internal Mini PCIe add-in cards. Typical uses are found in embedded server and gateway applications, entry level PC systems for automation, visualization and monitoring and all applications that place high demands on quality, durability and long-term availability. The MBox-V naming indicates the MBox variant with “variable” chassis variant.

MBox-Advanced

The MBox-Advanced can be used as industrial firewall and security appliance. Based on latest Intel® Atom™ processor series E3900 (Apollo Lake-I) for embedded applications combined with leading Intel® i210 ethernet controllers.

The MBox-Advanced can be used as industrial firewall and security appliance. Based on latest Intel® Atom™ processor series E3900 (Apollo Lake-I) for embedded applications combined with leading Intel® i210 ethernet controllers it offers excellent performance and high data throughput within a very compact formfactor. Advanced security features like AES-NI and TPM 1.2 / 2.0 (options) enable highly secure implementations. The MBox-Advanced is design for industrial use cases with high reliability, extended temperature support and extended lifecycle of more than 10 years.
