All our modules come with starter kits to help kick-start your project and many have the BSPs for various operating systems and schematics for the baseboards already included.

phyBOARD-Zeta is well suited for low power applications that require many interfaces. It offers a camera interface and due to its small form factor in Pico-ITX format (100 x 72mm), it can be used in many existing house designs. phyBOARD-Zeta is based on phyCORE-i.MX 7. In this two-PCB system, the SOM itself serves as the CPU core of the SBC, which is formed by interfacing the SOM to a second carrier board PCB via high density connectors.

phyBOARD-Mira offers a feature set and form-factor that is similar to that of phyBOARD-Wega. The phyCORE-i.MX 6 SOM provides the CPU core on the Mira, and is populated by the NXP ARM Cortex-A9 i.MX 6 series application processors. Mira offers standard interfaces that include Ethernet, USB, RS-232/RS-485, CAN, a microSD card slot and miniPCIe. Supplemental I/O and external hardware connectivity is enabled by expansion modules that interface to the Mira expansion bus. Mira also supports HDMI, LVDS, parallel, resistive and capacitive touch, as well as other HMI connectivity options.

emCON-Base Avari is a baseboard (carrier board) with all the basic functions for our processor modules in emCON format. It features a RJ45 connector for Gigabit Ethernet and a Mini PCI Express socket, as well as the possibility to directly connect an EDT display. emtrion can easily modify it customer-specifically for the use in series production. If you prefer developing your own baseboard, you are very welcome to use its schematics as a reference design to quickly develop your ideal solution.

At the heart of the Wega is the phyCORE-AM3354 System on Module (SOM), which is directly soldered onto a carrier Board PCB for routing of signals from the SOM to applicable I/O interfaces. This “Direct Solder Connect” (DSC) of the SOM eliminates four connectors, thereby further reducing overall system cost, and makes Wega ideally suited for deployment into a wide range of cost-optimized and robust industrial applications. Signals from the AM3354 processor populating the SOM also extend to the Wega expansion bus connectors. Phytec has designed the phyBOARD-Nunki specifically for image processing applications. It is an expansion of our trusted phyBOARD-Mira. It uses both i.MX 6 processor Image Processing Units (IPC) and is designed for applications with multiple cameras such as intercom systems with video or quality control applications that require a thermal imaging camera and a colour camera or stereoscopy applications. The SBC has five physical camera interfaces: two parallel phyCAM-P camera interfaces, two serialphyCAM-S+ interfaces as well as a MIPI camera interface. Two camera interfaces can be used at the same time. In addition, further interfaces as well as a 12-24 V power supply are integrated. Due to the exchangeable phyCORE SOM with NXP i.MX 6processor, the memory size can be adjusted easily. The phyCORE-i.MX 6 SOM is available as Single, Dual and Quadcore variant.

DIMM-Eco-Base Cadun is an advancement of the DIMM-Eco-Base Verno to support Core modules with high power consumption like the DIMM-MX6. Also a LVDS interface is added to provide three display interfaces. The board currently supports several Core modules: DIMM-SH7723, DIMM-SH7724, DIMM-EMEV2, DIMM-MX257, DIMM-MX53x, DIMM-AM335x and DIMM-MX6x.
DIMM-Eco-Base Cadun is intended to be used as a development platform and demonstrates the capabilities of the emtrion Core modules, as well as the advantages of the DIMM interface. Or it can be used in series products. Cadun provides the important connectors that are needed to make a useful use of the Core module’s features.

The AmITX-BE-G AMD R-Series APU features a Heterogeneous System Architecture (HSA) and non-ECC type DDR3L dual-channel memory at 1600/1333 MHz to provide excellent overall performance.

The COM Express mainboard (carrier board) MB-COME-1 in combination with a standard COM Express module forms a very compact hardware kit that can be used for a freely scalable embedded PC platform thanks to its modular design.
